Performs nursing functions during Electrophysiology (EP lab) procedures.

EP procedures performed in this area diagnose and treat cardiac conduction abnormalities. Various team roles include circulating, scrub assist, and monitoring/recording as assigned. Some tasks include moderate sedation management, procedural documentation, and pre & post procedure patient care. Our Electrophysiology division of the Heart & vascular Institute is growing. We are looking for energetic, motivated team players with exceptional clinical experience, a positive demeanor and willingness to learn. There may be a need or opportunity to learn skills that are used in other vascular procedures to enhance your knowledge. This position is best suited for a RN with critical care experience.

Through this range of clinical experience, you will gain knowledge, confidence and build teamwork among your peers through shared experiences. Patient ratios range from 5-6 patients per nurse, depending on your assigned shift. Your orientation will include 12 weeks with a trained preceptor/mentor. All new graduates and nurses with one year or less experience, will be enrolled in our Nurse Residency Program.
