Scheduled Work Hours/Shift: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
What You’ll Do
- Deliver expert progressive care to patients requiring cardiac and neuro monitoring
- Collaborate closely with physicians and teams in managing hemodynamic monitoring, and neurological monitoring.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement evidence-based interventions, and continuously evaluate patient responses.
- Support families through education, updates, and compassionate communication in high-stress environments.
- Maintain precision in documentation, adherence to protocols, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and remain current with evolving technologies and clinical practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Current RN license
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent PCU experience
- Proven proficiency in managing:
- Non titratable cardiac drips
- Respiratory Care including trach care
- Cardiac & Hemodynamic Monitoring
- IV Therapy and Medication Administration
- Neurological Assessments
- Post-Op or Step-Down Care for cardiac and neuro patients
- Interpreting cardiac rhythms and strips
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills under pressure.

Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required. NIHSS preferred but not required.
