The Wellness Specialist is a regional support position to the Regional Director of Health and Wellness, assisting in overseeing everything nursing in a region of communities ranging in size in assisted living and memory care. You'll also be expected to participate in company initiatives, and regulatory compliance and contribute to the overall culture of shared accountability.
What Cascade Living looks for in a Wellness Specialist:
Completion of certified nursing program (LPN or RN)
An active and unencumbered nursing license in the state of Washington
Experience of 5 years or more in the care of senior adults and adults with cognitive decline
Previous supervisory and/or management experience in long-term care or community-based setting
Compassionate individuals who will represent our company in a positive and professional manner
Available and on call for emergencies day and night for assigned communities.
Able to travel to designated locations
Demonstrate organizational skills around time management
Strong documentation skills and ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care
Ability to lead a management team and promote staff development
Knowledgeable of regulations, laws, and ordinances relating to nursing practice and community-based care for seniors
Current CPR certification
What you can expect to do as a Wellness Specialist for Cascade Living:
Travel to assigned communities, company meetings, and networking functions as needed, may include air travel and overnight stays
Be highly visible to the customer and to associates
Assist in recruiting and onboard wellness directors as needed for communities
Ensure that sound infection control practices are in place that promote a healthy environment
Implement company wellness systems that ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Review adverse events, identify need for plans of correction
Participate in resident and family care conferences as needed when needed to help facilitate communication, ensure quality service delivery and manage risks
Maintain current knowledge of and monitor community compliance with applicable federal and state regulations related to resident care and nursing practice
Promote the mission, values, and beliefs of Cascade Living
$105,000 - $125,000/annually
