The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting with hands-on involvement in outpatient procedures.

This is a Clinical Nurse for Sugar Land covering 50% Surgery and 50% Medical Oncology.

Salary range: $68,000 minimum - $105,000 midpoint - $142,000 maximum

Summary:

The Clinical Nurse in Medical Oncology at Sugar Land is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care across the continuum. This role supports optimal patient outcomes through direct care, coordination, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, while ensuring efficient use of resources.

EDUCATION

Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Required: Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if working in the following department: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if working in the following departments: ASC Post Anesthesia (600761) or Pedi - Child & Adolescent Center (113200).

Preferred: Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or Certification in specialty practice area.

Experience

Required: None.

Preferred: Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably experience with outpatient clinics, as well as experience assisting with outpatient clinic procedures.

All clinical nurses with less than one year of registered nurse (RN) work experience will be required to participate in the Clinical Nurse Residency Program.

What does the Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
