Job Summary: The BNATP Instructor is responsible for delivering comprehensive training and instruction to students enrolled in our Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program. The instructor will ensure that students gain the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to pass the state certification exam and excel in their roles as CNAs. This position involves teaching theoretical and practical components of the CNA curriculum, and providing guidance and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state regulations and the program's curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging and informative lectures on various topics related to nursing and patient care.
  • Provide hands-on training in clinical skills such as patient hygiene, vital signs monitoring, mobility assistance, and other essential CNA duties.
  • Assess students’ performance through quizzes, exams, practical demonstrations, and assignments.
  • Offer constructive feedback and support to help students improve and succeed.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and progress.
  • Ensure that all training equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available for use.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in nursing education and healthcare practices.
  • Assist in the development and revision of the CNA program curriculum as needed.
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to CNA training and certification.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNA or in a related nursing role.
  • Train the Trainer Course Completion
  • Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Proficiency in using technology and educational software for teaching purposes.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student success.

Working Conditions:

  • The BNATP Instructor will work in a classroom and clinical setting.
  • May require evening and weekend hours to accommodate student schedules.
  • Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, demonstrating nursing procedures, and assisting students with hands-on activities.
