Weekend Caregiver for Elderly, Home Health Aide (HHA) and Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Right at Home Nassau North Shore is hiring caregivers for the elderly who are certified HHAs and PCAs to join a great care team providing clinical expertise in the home. We are one of the top-rated agencies in the area. Annually, we receive top awards in the industry. 

Responsibilities and Duties for Caregiver for Elderly: 

Licensed caregivers for the elderly (HHAs/PCAs) will provide the following types of services to our clients:

• Assist with activities of daily living

• Assist with movement and walking

• Bathe clients

• Provide personal hygiene

• Assist with continence and toileting

• Help getting dressed and shaving 

• Assist with eating

• Transfer from bed to chair 

• Prepare meals based on instructions and special diets

• Accompany patient on errands and medical appointments

• Perform housekeeping such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathroom 

• Perform client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse includes, but are not limited to: 

  • Med reminders

  • Assist with exercises

  • Dementia care

  • Incontinence

Qualifications and Skills for Caregiver:

• HHA / PCA certification 

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate 

• Experience preferred, but not required

• Valid driver’s license and insured auto is a plus but not required
