Our Labor and Delivery department consists of 10 labor/delivery/recovery rooms (LDRs), three ORs, three short stay/triage rooms, and three post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) beds. We deliver approximately 5000 babies per year.

The Clinical Nurse II independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the adult. The Clinical Nurse II works closely with the inter-professional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. The nurse focuses on expanding the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age appropriate considerations of assigned patients.

The Clinical Nurse II seeks feedback in assuming leadership roles and provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years or 18 months of recent L&D experience, preferably in a center serving high risk patients.

License/Certification

Pay Range

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.

Minimum to Midpoint Range (Hourly): $92.64 to $106.87

Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities in documenting, tracking and conveying information. Ability to navigate in a windows environment, utilizing a mouse and the ability to learn electronic medical record system application. Perform other related duties as necessary. Formulates a goal-directed plan of care that is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes. Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate measures. Demonstrates sound knowledge base and actions in the care of a designated patient population. Participates regularly in staff development activities for unit and Department of Nursing personnel. Documents patient care and unit activities in a timely, accurate, and concise manner. If no qualified candidate, may be willing to train in the specialty areas listed below. Candidates in training are required to obtain appropriate certifications within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit. #NCALRN
