Job Summary:
* Assist in planning, educating, developing, coordinating, implementing, managing and evaluating educational experiences for MATERNAL staff.
* Responsible for staff development including acting as a facilitator, educator and resource person.
Education/Licensure:
* Current and active Texas RN licensure
* BLS/ACLS
* BSN required, MSN preferred
* 3 years experience on maternal nursing required
Qualifications:
* Develops, conducts, complies and completes preliminary evaluation of the needs assessment data yearly
* Plans in-service programs
* Implements in-service programs including scheduling, obtaining trainers, providing instruction, serving as a resource, and guiding others
* Coordinate and conducts general orientation for new employees
* Assist with placement of students
* Assist with maintaining in-service records
* Assist in the operation of staff development
* Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* Various other day-to-day tasks
