This role offers the ability to build long-term trust with a dedicated panel of returning patients while providing compassionate, collaborative care.
Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this role include:
- Responsible for providing professional nursing care for a dedicated schedule of routine foot and/or wound care clinic patients under the direction of a Physician(s) and within their scope of practice according to the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- Works directly with physicians and staff in coordinating excellent patient care.
- Performs clinical care in accordance with nursing standards within the specialty; may include rooming patients, taking vitals, recording and verifying medications, wound care, injections, processing instruments and cleaning your own exam rooms.
- Performs patient assessment and triage, either in person or over the phone.
- Orders and maintains medical inventory of supplies as needed. Document care and update records for scheduled patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials:
- Level I: $41.13-$55.65 per hour.
- Level II: $45.24-$61.21 per hour.
Workdays: This role is primarily located at Broadway Medical Clinic at 4212 NE Broadway, Suite 101,Portland, OR 97213. Typical hours are 24 hours per week, and workdays are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. (Start time may be flexible: 8:00 am-4:30 pm).
Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience, and values, including:
- Current Oregon state licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Podiatry specialty experience is a plus!
- Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
- Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus!
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, think critically, and effectively multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attendance, and work ethic.
- Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
- A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.
