Here’s What You Need
  • Nursing Degree, or Associate Degree in Nursing is required. BSN is preferred. (CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.)
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required.
  • One (1) year of experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program is required.
  • One (1) year of ICU experience with post op and advanced monitoring equipment including IABP, CRRT, and Impella is highly preferred.
  • BCLS is required upon hire with an expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.
  • ACLS is required within 90 days of hire.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training is required within 60 days of hire.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Description Medical City Heart & Spine Registered Nurse CVICU Seasonal PRN Rate: 62/hr. Seasonal program runs from Sept. 21, 2025 - April 4, 2026 Seasonal Program Requirements All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period. Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need. Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period. During the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee). Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy. What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing BSN Required within 24 months of hire into RN position Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required CCRN preferred Congenital Heart Experience and/or high-acuity PICU experience is preferred Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience Medical City Dallas is recognized for its advanced medical facilities and commitment to excellence in patient care.
