The MDS Resident Care Coordinator shall maintain resident care plans and perform resident MDS assessments, ensuring compliance with established OBRA standards and guidelines and regulatory requirements by all nursing personnel.  The MDS Coordinator must be educated and credentialed in age specific needs of adults and geriatrics as well as physical, psychosocial and cultural needs.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and depending on the department, certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be necessary. Strong clinical assessment, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. Working Conditions: This position is based in a fast-paced healthcare environment and requires physical stamina, emotional resilience, and the ability to manage high-stress situations.
