Job Summary and Responsibilities

SCHEDULE: PRNs are required to work a minimum of 5 shifts per 6 week period.  Flexible to work Days and Nights, 7 -7:30 and to fill in for sick days, vacation time, etc.

We offer a 15% differential on top of your base rate of pay for PRN associates!

 

OB Post-Partum:

The OB Post-Partum department at Longmont United Hospital has 19 LDRP beds, six Level II Special Care Nursery beds, two ORs and a three-bed triage. Our scope is Labor and Delivery, postpartum couplet care (mom & well baby), antepartum care, C-sections, tubal ligations, Level II nursery and care for babies 34 weeks and up.

 

Our department gets occasional overflow with gynecological surgery patients. We have a strong, supportive culture with all BirthPlace employees and providers and provide a very positive team environment.

 

The right candidate must have a positive attitude and want to work in a strongly supportive team environment. They need to be able to learn quickly and be someone who can multitask and handle ongoing change without getting flustered. This person will need to be flexible and able to work at a fast pace.

 

As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:

  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

Job Requirements

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:

 

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs

Experience Requirements

  • One year experience preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty
  • 2 years of L&D experience preferred.
  • Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and well baby care, circulating for c-sections, triage, and as charge nurse preferred
  • Charge Nurse experience is a plus

Licenses/Certification Requirements

  • RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact

Physical Requirements 

  • Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Enliven is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to service home infusion and Infusion Center patients in Westmister, CO, and surrounding locations. The ideal candidate must be well-trained and able to give the best nursing care possible with little supervision. They will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, cool-tempered, and capable of handling emergent situations. They must follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. Responsibilities: Complete daily electronic forms for each assigned patient within a secured Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System. Provide admission, case management, and follow-up skilled nursing visits for home infusion and infusion center patients. Administer ongoing care/infusions for each patient, and provide necessary follow-up as directed by the Physician and Clinical Manager. Confer with physicians and pharmacies in developing the initial plan of treatment based on the physician's orders and initial patient assessment. Provide hands-on care, management, and evaluation of the care plan and teaching of the patient under a physician based on ongoing assessments and as required by policy/regulation. Report patient care/conditions/progress to the patient's physician/pharmacy and Clinical Manager continuously. Implement patient care plan in conjunction with patient and family to assist them in achieving optimal resolution of needs/problems. Discharge patients after consultation with the physician and Clinical Manager, preparing and completing needed clinical documentation. Prepare appropriate medical documentation on all patients, including case conferences, patient contacts, medication order changes, re-certifications, progress updates, and care plan changes.
