Work hours: Full Time- 36 Hours; Weekends; Friday-Saturday 0630-1900 holiday and on call required
Surgery Highlights
- Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
- Fast Paced, High Volume of Robot, Urology, Plastics, GYN service line
- Level I Trauma facility. Strong Minimally Invasive CV program
- Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
- BSN (Preferred)
- 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
- 3 Years of RN Operating Room experience in multiple service lines (Preferred)
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Preferred)
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
