LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at St. Mary's D'Youville Pavilion is an essential member of the patient care team.  He/She will partner with residents/patients and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care activities and assists in formulating and implementing a continuous plan of care for patients.  They will assist with personal hygiene, ambulation, mobility and positioning, and assist at mealtimes.  He/She will perform patient procedures, tests and treatments according to policies and procedures within the scope of their practice.  They will be required to precisely document on the patient record, give concise, pertinent information to other healthcare team members and report changes in patient status in a timely and appropriate manner. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Graduate of a board approved Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Valid State of Maine LPN license required
  • BLS certification required

Experience:

  • No Previous experience required
  • Medical Terminology preferred

Other Skills Required:

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Comp Range:

$23.76 - $32.72

Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale.  At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
