Texas NeuroRehab Center is a specialized treatment facility located ten minutes from downtown Austin on 67 wooded acres. We have served the Austin community for over 80-years and are proud of our history and tenured leadership team.

Today, Texas NeuroRehab Center provides complex medical and brain injury rehab for ages 13 years and older and neurobehavioral residential treatment services for children and adolescents. The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Texas NeuroRehab Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The DON participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. Qualifications

Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of TX. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing is strongly preferred. Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience in behavioral health setting.

Facilitates clinical operations and patient care Triages patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the patient's chart. As necessary, facilitates communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinates services related to patient care. Assist patients in locating available community resources. Inter professional collaboration Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) will have the following background and experience: Level 1: Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 0-3 years nursing experience, preferably at least one year in oncology. Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements): 3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred. Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements): Five years nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
