The Charge Nurse/MDS position is responsible for the assessment and care planning for residents, the Minimum Data Set program and ensuring that staff follow care plans.

This position, in org unit 10202457, Hardin county has an approved Locality Premium of $12.02 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have two years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE

Incumbents work with patients, clients, or employees who may have been exposed to infectious diseases which may require the following of safety procedures.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Accurately performing resident assessments and care plans in accordance with mandatory timeframes and federal regulations.
- Accurate coding of the MDS data.
- Maintains current status of residents in accordance with state and federal requirements and transmits data timely and accurately to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
