RN School Contract

A full-time registered nurse (RN) is needed to provide comprehensive nursing support across multiple K-8 schools in Washougal, WA. This contract position begins ASAP and is expected to last approximately 12 weeks, covering a leave of absence. The RN will be responsible for managing the health needs of approximately 1,550 students across a primary and two middle schools, ensuring they receive appropriate care in accordance with school health policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver onsite nursing services across three schools serving pre-K to 8th grade students
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for students with acute and chronic health conditions
  • Provide health education to students and staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and school policies
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student wellness

Qualifications:

  • Active Washington State RN license is required
  • Experience working in a pediatric or school nursing setting preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently
