Medical Assistant - PN/NHC

Location: Morris Neighborhood Health Center for Innovation in Children's Health Department: Morris Neighborhood Clinic Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Medical Assistant I role functions under the clinical supervision of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider in a primary care practice. This individual assists in the preparation and delivery of patient care as directed by the provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Clinical duties are skillfully and consistently performed per established clinical policy and procedure. Education & Experience: High school diploma required. Required: Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: National certification preferred. Current CPR certification required. Location: Dodson Medical Office Building Department: Administration Specialty Clinic Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Medical Assistant will deliver care with a team-orientation and with an emphasis on good customer relations and sound clinical judgment. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of certified Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant course or other comparable health care provider program with course work in patient assessment/vital signs and growth and development, ( i.e. 1 clinical semester in accredited nursing program). At least 1 year experience as medical assistant. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations. Education and Experience High School diploma required. Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Current BLS Certification required. National certification preferred.
