Department Description

Our general Internal Medicine/Cardiology unit is a 30-bed medical/surgical unit that provides care and treatment to general internal medicine and cardiology patients. We care for patients with a variety of medical illnesses including pneumonia, liver and gastro-intestinal disorders, infections, diabetes, renal compromise, auto-immune disorders, heart failure, and acute myocardial infarctions. Telemetry monitoring is provided.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Provide acute patient care
Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with the nursing supervisor
Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Monitor and administer medications and IVs

Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. 6. Develops a care plan that establishes goals, based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates palliative nursing actions. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 2. Registered Nurse, with a License in good standing to practice in the state of Washington. 3.
