Southwest Montana Veteran's Home is currently searching for a dedicated ADON (Assistant Director of Nursing) to join our team!

The primary purpose of the ADON is to assist in the planning, organizing, development, and direction or the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with the guidelines and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times while delivering on the Eduro HealthCare Values of wellness, compassion, customer experience and company results.

**Daily Pay Available**

ADON Responsibilities:

  • Assist DON in managing clinical operations of the nursing department.
  • Develop nursing programs to ensure quality patient services.
  • Plan and assign workload to nursing staff on shift basis.
  • Supervise and guide nursing staff on their daily job duties.
  • Ensure nursing staff follow department procedures and policies.
  • Address patient complaints promptly to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure that nursing staff perform assigned duties accurately and timely.
  • Provide job training to nursing staff to meet department goals.
  • Ensure that nursing programs comply with federal, state and local standards.

ADON Requirements:

  • Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state employed.
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing and experience in working with geriatric residents is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
  • Completion of orientation required by company policy.
  • Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
  • Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
  • Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
  • Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
