Summary:

The Medical Assistant will function in collaborative practice with physician(s) and/or advanced practice provider(s) in an ambulatory care setting. Assists in the preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care as directed by provider(s) and other licensed clinical personnel. Skillfully and consistently performs clinical duties per established departmental policies and procedures. The care is based on the nursing process and augments the medical plan of treatment appropriate to the ambulatory care setting with an emphasis on good customer relations.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Either a graduate of an accredited MA school OR a current MA certification required.
  • Insurance Experience preferred.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:

  • Current BLS Certification required.
  • National certification preferred.

Days:

  • Tuesday and Thursday
  • Third day every other week in the Fort Worth Clinic

The Medical Assistant will deliver competent care with a team orientated attitude and an emphasis on good customer relations and sound clinical judgment. This position floats to the various CCPN office locations as assigned. Eagerly adjusts to a variety of locations, quickly learning differing routines, procedures, and physician expectations. Role model for all staff, displaying strict adherence to all policies and procedures; impeccable judgement. Exhibits extraordinary dependability and adaptability. Extensive travel required. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure. Education & Experience: A Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting. 1-year experience as a medical assistant in a pediatric outpatient care setting preferred. Certification/Licensure: Current AHA healthcare provider BLS. Valid Texas driver's license and current Texas automobile liability insurance. Current National MA certification - preferred.
