Work hours: PRN “As Needed, rotating schedule 7:00 am – 7:00 pm , 11a-11p, 3p-3a or 7:00 pm -7:00 am– PRN II requires 3 shifts in a 6 week schedule with a minimum of 1 weekend shift.

- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
- BSN preferred
- One year experience as a registered nurse in the ER required.
- BCLS – prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly
- ACLS – within 90 days of hire
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support – within 90 Days of hire
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course - within 12 Months of hire
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
