Position Summary
The RN on the Wound Care Team will be responsible for assisting the clinical RN in the daily operations of the service. Additional and specific duties will include the day-to-day responsibility of the Specialty Bed service.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with an RN degree. Holds a current Texas permit or license. Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire. BSN preferred.
B. Training and Experience: Wound care experience preferred and helpful.
C. Job Knowledge: Understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures, ability to understand and work with team concepts, good knowledge of the Nursing Process.
Unusual Physical Demands And Working Conditions
Heavy lifting and sustained walking and standing, exposure to infectious disease, and work at times under stress.
