Job Title: Senior Caregiver

As a caregiver, you will assist clients with daily living activities, helping them maintain their independence within the comfort of their own homes. You will follow personalized care plans and deliver a range of services, including companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and personal care assistance, such as bathing and dressing.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 1,000 hours (approximately 6 months full-time or 12 months part-time) of experience working with geriatric or chronically ill individuals is preferred. Exceptions will be made for newly licensed CNAs, HHAs, or those with experience in providing companionship and housekeeping.
- Certifications: CNA or HHA certification is preferred but not required.
- Health and Safety: Proof of current TB testing, the ability to safely transfer clients, and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and automobile insurance are required for client transportation.
- Background Check: Ability to pass both national and state criminal background checks.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care Plan Implementation: Follow personalized care plans to ensure clients receive the necessary support and assistance.
- Client Support: Provide companionship, assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, and personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding).
- Communication & Advocacy: Report any changes in the client’s condition to the Care Manager and advocate for client needs.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety and infection control protocols; notify the office when additional supplies are needed.
- Timekeeping & Documentation: Accurately record hours, tasks, and client status using the ClearCare Telephony system.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company policies and dress code.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to assist with client transfers and repositioning using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Reliable transportation to clients’ residences.
