The 10-week Student Nurse Intern (SNI) program provides nursing students the opportunity to enhance their understanding of the nursing profession while working alongside a registered nurse. The MN Nurse Practice Act exemption language requires nursing students to be enrolled in a nursing course in an approved nursing program to participate in a summer internship experience. The paid internship allows nursing students to experience working full time (0.75-0.9 FTE) on Day, Evening, or Night shifts in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a clinical nurse.
