We’re currently seeking On-Call Caregivers—flexible, dependable professionals who are available to step in when a client needs care on short notice. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and want to make a meaningful difference every day.

Position Details

Location: Evansville, IN (must be able to travel between clients within Vanderburgh County)
Schedule Options:

• Weekend On-Call Caregiver – Open availability Saturdays and Sundays

• Evening On-Call Caregiver – Open availability weekday evenings

• Weekday On-Call Caregiver – Open availability Monday through Friday daytime

Pay: $16.00/hour + mileage reimbursement ($0.40/mile between clients)
Availability: Must be willing to accept same-day or next-day shifts and/or check in with the office daily to confirm availability.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

On-Call Caregivers provide essential support when regular caregivers are unavailable. Duties include:

• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility)

• Performing light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and errands

• Offering medication reminders and promoting a safe environment

• Maintaining communication with the office about shift availability and client updates

• Stepping in for last-minute coverage to ensure no client is left without care

• Dependable, flexible, and adaptable under changing schedules

• Compassionate and professional in all client interactions

• Strong communication and time-management skills

• Reliable transportation and commitment to client safety and satisfaction

Job Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance

• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Negative TB test (in-office testing available if needed)

• Must pass a background check (per Indiana in-home care regulations)

• Attendance at in-person orientation at our Evansville office required

• Two forms of ID (driver’s license, Social Security card, or birth certificate)
