Responsibilities for Pulmonary Treatment Specialist:

  • Provide therapeutic pulmonary services
  • Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
  • Provide daily services to an assigned caseload of residents.
  • Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

 

 

Qualifications for Pulmonary Treatment Specialist:

  • Current Illinois Nursing License (Required)
  • Experience in pulmonary care or respiratory therapy in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
  • This position involves a physical component, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, and perform other tasks that involve physical activity.
