In this vital role, you will develop and coordinate educational programs for clinical staff, oversee new employee orientation, and customize training for all experience levels, from new graduates to seasoned professionals. What this role is about:

  • Develops and operationalizes effective methods of educating patient care staff focused on knowledge, skills, and attitudes requisite for safe, competent, and effective patient care practice
  • Identifies need, develops and offers specific education programs relevant to needs assessment and identified gaps in knowledge for assigned areas
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, managers, and preceptors to assess learning needs and tailor educational support
  • Promotes evidence-based nursing practice through assessment, dissemination of information, analysis of practice, coaching, and mentoring
  • Manages factors related to safety and effectiveness in planning and delivery of professional development activities
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the competency-based education model, incorporating competency assessment into all educational activities

What you'll need:

  • Current Washington State RN license in good standing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or relevant degree required
  • Graduate degree in Nursing, Education, or related specialty preferred
  • Previous experience as a clinical educator preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS required
  • Advanced current certification preferred for specific patient population: PALS, ENPC, TNCC, ANA Med-Surg. NRP, Wound Care, Conscious Sedation
  • Minimum five years of acute nursing care experience required
