Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Adult Psychiatry Inpatient to join the Fairview medical team at the brand-new, state-of-the-art 144-bed behavioral health hospital. Capitol Park Mental Health Hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota has an exciting opportunity to work with a growing team and help shape the delivery of compassionate, high-quality inpatient psychiatric care from the ground up.

Practice Details:

FTE: 1.0 (Full-Time)
Schedule: 7-on/7-off
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans for adolescent/adult and/or geriatric inpatients.
Lead multidisciplinary Capitol Park treatment teams, including therapists, nurses, and social workers.
Participate in daily clinical rounds and team meetings.
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for Capitol Park behavioral health staff.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and hospital program development.

Qualifications:

Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC
Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
BLS certified
Previous experience in acute care, adolescent care and/or geriatric care preferred
Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is required

Current Minnesota NP licensure and board certification (family medicine) or registration by the MN Board of Medical Practice and PA certification by the NCCPA are required. Experience working with both pediatric and adult populations. Experience with psychiatric illness in adults and youth preferred. Must have ability to work effectively as a part of a treatment team. Computer experience using Microsoft Office Products including Outlook and Word required. Must have strong skills in clinical case management, time management, and written and verbal communication. Ability to treat all age populations consistent with licensure or have the capacity to develop these skills. Must have ability to manage a variety of clinical obligations in timely manner.
