The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served in the Medical, high level Telemetry, Stroke Department as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
- Graduate of professional accredited nursing school required.
- BSN preferred.
Experience
- 1 to 2 years inpatient Medical Surgical experience preferred.
Licensure and/or Certification
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
- BLS healthcare provider required.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Job Description: As an RN in Endoscopy, you will assume responsibility to lead the Endoscopy patient care team in providing quality patient care. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care from admission to discharge. Maintains departmental on-call responsibilities during off-shifts, weekends and holidays, on a rotating basis. Schedule: 36 hours a week, Full-time day shift, Monday-Friday. On-call is required. The average amount of on-call is 4-5 shifts per month. Weekday hours will be either 5:30 pm-11 pm or 11pm-6 am and weekend and holidays are 7am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am. You are paid an hourly on-call rate, and if called in, you will be paid time and a half.
