We are looking for one (1) compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide medical care in a home care setting, in accordance with an established care plan. Full-Time position, with 12-hour day shifts available. Open schedules are Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We offer competitive compensation, to go along with our world-class service. This particular position is for a medically complex residential group home in Poinciana, FL.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience as an LPN. Experience with Pediatric patients, and ICU/PCU preferred or must have documentation of ventilator and/or tracheostomy training (i.e. certifications, verified references). Experience with developmentally disabled is a plus.

 

LPN’s are responsible for tasks such as:

* Daily assessments of clients

* Administration of medications (oral, enteral, inhaled, etc.)

* Documentation of client status, and/or changes

* Communication with RN, MD, & other medical professionals for orders and updates

* Ventilator monitoring and management

* Tracheostomy care and suctioning

* Tube feeding

* Disease management

* Coordination client medical appointments

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the daytoday nursing activities performed by the Nursing Assistants in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act; current federal, state and local standards; guidelines and regulations that govern the center; and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Assistant Director of Nursing/Unit Manager to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct the daytoday functions of the Nursing Assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the longterm care center. Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by the center. Ensure that all nursing service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual.
