Clinical Lead - LPN

The Clinical Lead assists in the oversight of clinical support staff and daily operations following established standards and practices. Performs general nursing/clinical support care to patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and aids provider during examinations, procedures, and treatment of patients. Assists in leading clinical staff at each assigned location and is available for any clinical related issues that arise during patient care. In partnership with Clinical Supervisor, assists with training for clinical staff including training staff on proper techniques, clinical protocols, and adherence to organization workflow, policies, and guidelines. Ensures that Women's Care policies and clinical guidelines and state and federal regulations are adhered to by all clinical staff. Supports Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager in maintaining compliance of Women's Care documentation and reporting guidelines including notifying patients of abnormal results, tracking outstanding orders and referrals, and documenting clinical notes appropriately in the electronic health record. Promotes patient safety including creating a safe clinical environment for patients in accordance with industry standards, certifications, and Women's Care policies. Assists with maintenance and inspections of equipment and the sterilization and cleaning of patient areas, equipment, and instruments according to Women's Care guidelines and industry standards. Verifies all required logs are maintained and up to date. Attends required meetings and assists with communication of information to clinical staff as directed by Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager. Inventories supplies and medications and communicates to Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager for ordering. Advises Clinical Supervisor/Practice Manager of adverse incidents or patient safety issues and submits incident reports as directed. Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values. Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: RN or LPN with minimum of 1 year experience OR CMA with minimum 2 years experience in an OBGYN setting AND exemplary clinical skills. General knowledge of medical terminology. Experience working with an electronic medical records system, eCW a plus. Ability to motivate, coach, and develop others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Deadline-driven and detail-oriented. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere. Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers. Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred OR the ability to obtain the certification within 30 days of employment via Women’s Care training. Experience working in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Practice Manager with the day-to-day clinical operations of the unit. Responsibilities include supervision of the clinical area and support staff (nurses, MAs, sonographers, phlebotomists), serving as a liaison between the patient access and clinical area, mediating and managing provider and staff concerns, and maintaining a safe environment. Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the clinical patient area and support teams in collaboration with the Patient Access Supervisor to provide care to patients. Ensures that all clinic locations are compliant with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations (HIPAA, CMS, DOH). Enforces staff adherence to all Women’s Care policies and procedures. Performs general nursing care to patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and aids provider during examinations, procedures, and treatment of patients, as necessary. Ensures that the unit and/or staff achieves/maintains all required certifications (MA, AIUM). Assists the Practice Manager in recruiting clinical support staff. Responsible for the training and development of all clinical support staff, monitors performance and provides feedback, as necessary. Maintains a safe environment in accordance with clinical standards, Women’s Care policies, and safety regulations. Responsible for the ordering, controlling, and managing of all medications (routine, sample, controlled, and procedural). Conducts quarterly drills and staff meetings. Ensures all equipment is ready for use and maintained according to manufacturer instructions and inspected annually. Mitigates risk to Women’s Care by identifying potential problems, conducts investigations of any occurrences, and implements corrective actions, as warranted. Completes annual, quarterly, and monthly audits of all licenses, permits, eCW tasks, training requirements, and clinical logs. Provides ongoing staff development and evaluates efficacy. Meets with medical providers and the Practice Manager, as necessary to address clinical issues and processes. Manages staff performance and evaluations including supervising, coaching, and disciplinary action of clinical support staff. Establishes par level for clinical supplies and monitors inventory and implements measures to control expenditures. Responds to patient grievances/concerns and escalates to the Practice Manager, as necessary. Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse license in the state of FL. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Minimum 2 years OB/GYN office or Maternal Care Unit experience. 2-3 years leadership experience. Current BLS certification. Knowledge of medical office protocols, procedures, and processes (universal precautions, infection control, risk management, etc.) Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred but must be proficient with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
