The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary

This position is primarily a clinical supervisor for hospital services and assures delivery of age-appropriate care. He/She/They function as the in-house hospital administrator communicating problems as applicable to hospital leadership. The role is responsible for Program Planning, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Quality Assurance, Staff Development, Collaboration with Medical Staff, Hospital Leadership, Hospital Departments, and external agencies.

Minimum Requirements

  • ADN or higher required 
  • Unrestricted NC RN license required or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state Health Care Provider is required 
  • American Heart Association BLS is required 
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience is required

Other Information

  • Part-time position with benefits
  • 24 hours per week
  • Shift - 12-hour shifts, primarily 3AM to 3PM 
  • Weekend and holiday rotation assignment
