Maintain medication cart in clean, orderly fashion and immediately report any out of stock and/or missing medications to charge nurse when noted. Consult current medication resources/books/licensed nurse for newly prescribed medications not familiar to CMA. Ensure and maintain infection control measures, including isolation precautions when in place, while carrying out all job duties and promote infection control measures throughout facility. Ensure resident confidentiality and observance of HIPAA compliance at all times. Consult with, and interact with other staff of facility in professional, courteous and respectful manner at all times. Maintain positive, courteous, and respectful interactions with residents maintaining resident dignity at all times. May be assigned to function as certified nurse aide as needed/required by nursing administration.
