Responsibilities

We are actively hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN) PACU. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient status throughout the episode of care
  • Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care by implementing:
  • Provide hand-off report to other teammates that are accurate, concise and pertinent to the patient’s condition and response to care. 
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
    • One year of PACU experience preferred.
    • Current state licensure to practice within good standings. 
    • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
    • Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification
    • Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is requiredwhen pediatric care is included in the facility scope serviceswithin 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification
    • Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia is preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital- Labor and Delivery- .9 FTE- Nights

Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital (OMH) Birthing Center is a Level 1 community hospital unit with 12 LDRP’s. The unit cares for a variety of populations, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, GYN, Pediatrics, and transitional newborn care in our Special Care Nursery. We see approximately 900 patients annually. In additional to providing specialty services for women and children of all ages, the department also provides other services, such as, but not limited to, lactation and resolve through sharing (RTS) perinatal loss support. OMH Birthing Center has over 30 staff members working as Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Health Unit Clerks. ​ Hours: This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week, schedule is three 12 hour night shifts 1900-0700. This position may float between both Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Waukesha Memorial Hospital locations. There is a weekend and holiday rotation. This is not a seasonal or temporary position. We also serve a small medical population. Our three south unit includes an 11 bed unit with medical patients and general surgical patients. These patients include: sepsis, cardiac, stroke, renal, CHF, COPD, respiratory illnesses. The surgical population includes appendectomy, small bowel obstructions and various other surgeries. The Medical Surgical Unit at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital is focused on the needs of the patient and helping one another to meet those needs. Our patient management on both units may include telemetry monitoring, continuous medication infusions, wounds, varieties of tubes and drains. There are approximately 60 staff members that include experienced and newer staff including, CNA’s, RN’s, and Unit Clerks. Supported by the Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator and Operations Coordinator.
