About The Career:

  • Circulator Duties: During the pre-, intra- and post-op phase, the circulating registered nurse: coordinates the activities of the room, assembles necessary equipment, delegates activities to other team members, implements the nursing process and care plan, serves as the patient advocate, assures a safe environment for the patient, completes documentation accurately, completes a correct sponge, needle and instrument count, informs PACU of special needs.

The Surgical Services Department at Montrose Regional Health is committed to provide quality surgical services and improve the quality of life for our patients. We provide surgical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All About You:

  • At least 1 year experience as an Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (preferred).
  • Current Colorado or compact state RN license or ability to become licensed.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's, Associated, or Diploma in Nursing.
  • BLS required upon hire. ACLS and PALS or ENPC within 9-months.
  • Experience is preferred.
  • Certified in OR is recommended.

About The Shift:

  • The position will receive a guaranteed salary, rather than being paid on an hourly basis, in order to avoid significant changes in compensation due to fluctuating work demands.
  • Position will be classified as a 1.0 full-time FTE and will accrue PTO and EIB benefits and be eligible to participate in other benefits available to full-time employees such as health benefits and 401k retirement benefits.
  • The position will be scheduled to be On-Call for the Surgical Services team nightly on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Caregiver will be available and is required to respond to the hospital within 30 minutes when called during this time and will follow the Surgical Services Department On-Call Policy and Procedure.
  • The position shall receive the guaranteed salary for any workweek during which services are performed. No deductions shall be made from the salary for working less than 40 hours in a workweek (except as noted: the guaranteed salary will only be subject to deductions required by law or permitted under the FLSA, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other State or Federal laws that permit such deductions, for the fluctuating workweek method of compensation), but hours of absence may be deducted from accrued PTO, EIB or other paid leave benefits, as appropriate.
