What You'll Be Doing

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Nurse Assistant performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychological, social, emotional, safety, and security needs of the patient. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
  • Provides care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths
  • Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information.
  • Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
  • Handles the care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of New Jersey
  • BLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Previous relevant patient care experience
