Currently seeking a Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) to join our wonderful family.

Position Details:

Position Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine resident’s needs.

  • Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents. Assists residents with bowl and bladder training and/or provides incontinence care. Document intake/output as required.

  • Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help. Is familiar with special diets and dietary restrictions.

  • Transports residents or assists residents to walk. Perform restorative nursing programs and ROM exercises as directed by physical therapist or professional nurse.

  • Turns and reposition bed-fast residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores. Uses hoyer lift, soft stretcher and/or transfer belt as directed by physical therapist for professional nurse.

  • Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers phone.

  • Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food/fluid intake and output, as directed.

  • Transport and fill oxygen tanks, transports other equipment as needed.

  • Maintains work areas and resident rooms in an orderly fashion.

  • Provide postmortem care.

  • Maintains universal precautions when working with residents.

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

  • Graduate from a state approved C.N.A. training.

  • Prior sub-acute and/or long term care a plus, but not required.

  • Basic addition and subtraction skills

 

Requirements:

  • Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant License

 

Physical Demands:

  • Employee is regularly required to walk.

  • Frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel.

  • Occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms and talk and/or hear.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
