Job Description – Companion Caregiver

Seniors Helping Seniors® Treasure Coast South in-home care services brightens the lives of seniors who can benefit from a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves, make life a little easier by providing compassionate care in the comfort of our care receiver’s home.

Seniors Helping Seniors® empowers seniors to continue to live independent lives by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.

Qualifications:

Mature individual who enjoys working with our senior population
Caring, compassionate and reliable individual who empathizes with the aging process
Understand the importance of our services to our seniors
Have positive attitude and be dedicated to our mission
High level of emotional intelligence
Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job
Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by SHS
Be proactive to find other ways to help our seniors once all tasks have been completed

Companionship and Homemaker Duties may include:

Provide Companionship
Assist with Light Housekeeping such as laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc…
Shopping and Errands
Meal Preparation
Medication Reminders
Pet Care
Light Yard Work
Light Handyman Services
Overnight Supervision
Incidental Transportation to doctor’s appointments, family or their favorite restaurant

NOTE: We will provide access to Home Health Aid certification training, should you be interested in supporting clients in need of more hands-on assistance.
