Your Role as a Night Shift RN Supervisor

As a Night Shift RN Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in leading and supporting the direct care staff to ensure residents receive exceptional care throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide nursing staff during the night shift to ensure compliance with resident care plans and facility standards.

• Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, addressing questions and resolving issues promptly.

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Unit Managers to manage staffing needs, shift activities, and resident care priorities.

• Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain high standards of clinical quality and resident satisfaction.

• Monitor and evaluate resident care plans, ensuring they align with the needs and preferences of residents.

• Ensure infection control practices are upheld and comply with state and federal regulations.

• Document incidents, resident status changes, and other critical information, ensuring seamless communication with the interdisciplinary team.

• Foster a positive, person-centered care approach, ensuring that every resident’s needs and preferences are met.

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (required).

• Experience:

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting (preferred).

  • Previous experience in a long-term care or rehabilitative facility strongly encouraged.

• Skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to mentor and lead direct care staff effectively.

  • Commitment to clinical excellence and person-centered care.
