Position Overview: Acts as a resource to both staff and provider, facilitating new trials, education, and ensuring service line needs are met. |

Essential Functions: General: 1) Uses acceptable standards of practice based on nursing process care to provide the individual/family/group with identified perioperative needs. 2) Coordinates care of the individual/family/group based on AORN Standards of Care. 3) Promotes a climate in which consumers well being is recognized at a time when they are unable to do so themselves. 4) Used the nursing process to provide age appropriate individual/family/guardian education activities to promote a successful perioperative outcome. 5) Works to achieve desired health care outcome by effectively utilizing human and material resources. 6) Is accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to nursing within the scope of practice. 7) Perform other duties as assigned. |

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Physical Demands: Ability to lift twenty (20) pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients may involve lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Ability to stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills. Visual acuity. |
