Position Summary The RN Weekend Supervisor provides clinical leadership, oversight, and support to nursing staff while ensuring safe, high-quality resident care during weekend operations. This role serves as the primary clinical resource on weekends, promoting regulatory compliance, teamwork, and excellent resident outcomes in a skilled nursing environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including, but not limited to: Provide clinical supervision and leadership to nursing staff during weekend shifts Ensure delivery of nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, facility policies, and regulatory standards Serve as the on-site clinical authority for resident condition changes, emergencies, and decision-making Conduct nursing rounds to assess resident status, staff performance, and overall unit operations Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed during weekend hours Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, families, and interdisciplinary team members Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policy and state/federal regulations Monitor staffing levels, provide guidance, and assist with staffing adjustments as necessary Address concerns, incidents, and grievances promptly and professionally Support quality assurance initiatives and promote best nursing practices Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness standards Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) Texas license in good standing. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience , with skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and problem-solving skills Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

LPN / LVN interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care. LPN / LVN assists with admitting, discharging and transferring of patients. LPN / LVN identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with Social Services/Discharge Planner regarding both in-hospital and post discharge needs.
