Why This Role Matters: As the Staffing Coordinator , you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our residents receive top-quality care by managing and coordinating nursing staff schedules . This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and the ability to step in to assist on the floor when needed , making it the perfect blend of administrative work and hands-on resident care. What You’ll Be Doing: Scheduling & Staffing: Develop and maintain accurate nursing staff schedules , ensuring compliance with state regulations and facility policies . Manage last-minute call-outs and staffing shortages to ensure seamless care coverage . Certification & Compliance: Verify and maintain staff certifications in collaboration with HR. Ensure timely renewal of CNA and nursing credentials. Communication & Coordination: Work closely with nursing supervisors, department heads, and HR to align staffing needs. Communicate scheduling changes promptly to staff and leadership. Onboarding & Orientation (with the assistance of the HR Director): Facilitate new hire onboarding and ensure proper training compliance. Coordinate orientation sessions to integrate new team members into facility operations. Timekeeping & Attendance Management: Monitor employee attendance and time records , addressing issues proactively . Assist in managing payroll-related staffing concerns . Data Management & HR Collaboration: Use scheduling software to track staffing needs and generate reports. Provide insights for staffing improvements and assist in recruitment efforts. Flexibility & Hands-On Support: Step in to assist on the floor when needed to support staff and maintain resident care. Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Nursing . What We’re Looking For: CNA Certification – Required. Experience in healthcare staffing or a related role. Strong organizational & communication skills – You’re the go-to for scheduling solutions! Familiarity with scheduling software & HRIS systems . Knowledge of state staffing regulations & compliance .
