RN Transitional Opportunities - Emergency Department

$49 - $87.12 / HOUR

Overlake Medical Center has opportunities for nurses looking to transition into a new specialty of practice. Nurses with greater than one year of experience are eligible. The transition program is based on best practices and evidence-based education. Your program will include: A blend of online learning and instructor led courses 1:1 clinical precepting by an experienced RN Focused sessions with an Education specialist to enhance learning and clinical reasoning in your new area of practice During the program, you will work a .9 FTE (72 hours per biweekly pay period). After completing the precepted portion of the program your FTE and shift will be based on available positions, with a high probability of .9 FTE, Night shift. Commitment of one (1) year in unit at assigned FTE & shift. Cohort participation for transitional RN varies per specialty Next PROGRAM START for Emergency Department: February 23, 2026 *applications accepted for this cohort through 12:00 noon on 12/10/25. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing Current WA State RN License or Multistate RN License required prior to start. Healthcare provider BLS/CPR certifications. ACLS strongly preferred. 1+ years RN experience Excellent customer service and communication skills. Note - RNs hired into units that require a competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation will be required to take a rhythm assessment in their first week. Our Medical Assistants are a vital part of the patient experience in our clinic. They work with our providers to offer exceptional care for our patients and their families. Daily tasks including rooming patients, triage phone calls, and assisting in coordination of patient care. Full-time 1.0 FTE – 40 hours per week Monday to Friday / 8 hour shift 730am to 400pm Sign-on Bonus eligible for new hires Qualifications: Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required. Pay range: - Hourly $49.00 - $87.12 Circulator - Urgent Response Team (On-Call Coverage) for Inpatient Surgery (IPS) is a 17 suite OR which performs Open Heart, Cardiothoracic, Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Robotic, Vascular, Gynecological and Urogynecologic as well as General Surgery procedures. Combinations of inpatient and outpatient procedures are performed on a mainly adult population and IPS averages 850 procedures monthly. Specialty team based practice is our foundation for providing consistent, knowledgeable and experienced staff to meet our customers’ needs. Healthcare practitioner delegation and direction must be for functions within the scope of the medical assistant-certified (MA-C) and the medical assistant must be able to safely and competently perform the function. Medical Assistants may not accept delegation of acts that are not within his or her scope of practice.
