Advanced Practice Provider - Physician's Assistant (PA)

Landmark Hospital of Athens is in search of an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated and professional Hospitalist team! We are a small, private LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) hospital where we truly work as one team. Our advanced practice providers (NP, PA) collaborate with a dedicated team of Hospitalists and specialists, along with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team, to meet the patient's needs. Our patients are medically complex with an average length of stay of around 25-30 days. This provides us with the privilege of forming more meaningful connections with our patients and witnessing their recovery firsthand, as well as expanding clinical skills. Summary: The Physician's Assistant (PA) works within the scope of their practice and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with hospital standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. Collaborate closely with in-house hospitalists and specialists on a daily basis. Shift Expectations: Full time Responsibilities: The Advanced Practice Provider performs tasks within the scope of practice, including: Providing care to a selected population of patients Manages the care of patients with medically complex problems that require advanced clinical skills Enhancing patient care by integrating the competencies of clinical practice, education, consultation, and research Communicating with physicians and other clinical staff Requirements: Physician's Assistant degree, with clinical specialization preparation to function in an expanded role Physician's Assistant license in the State where the position is located Minimum 1-3 years of clinical experience, preferably in med surg/ICU/ER BLS-required upon hire ACLS (upon hire or obtained within first 90 days) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Superior analytical and critical thinking skills Team, detail, and goal-oriented Positive, professional, and empathetic demeanor Landmark Hospitals is a privately owned, critical care hospital system with locations in Georgia and Missouri.
