Participation is expected after six months of hire following success completion of ACLS, PALS or NRP course as appropriate ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration ACLS and PALS are required to be assigned/work Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED) Desired Qualifications: BSN/MS degree in Nursing Working knowledge of area Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification: ACLS/PALS/NRP certification is encouraged as appropriate to patient population Responsibilities Plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates comprehensive care for designated patients to ensure quality of care and continuity of care delivery.

Overview Qualifications This position is for our new 25 bed unit. Anticipate opening summer 2026. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing AND BS degree in nursing or another health related field or business. Internal candidates promoted into this job who do not have a B.S. degree must obtain same within 36 months of date of promotion. Working knowledge of the unit's scope of care/practice Basic knowledge of management principles Proven leadership skills Licensure/Registration/Certification: Current RN Licensure in the State of Alabama National certification in area of clinical responsibility within two years of eligibility requirement BLS Desired Qualifications: MSN, MBA, or Master's degree in health related field Working knowledge of management in a similar clinical setting Upon promotion, National certification in area of specialty Responsibilities Manages the overall operations of a clinical department in order to provide defined patient care services in a prescribed clinical setting which meets IHS's standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
