This role collaborates closely with cardiologists and the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care in both office and hospital settings. Job Responsibilities: Manage acute and chronic cardiac patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Conduct outpatient clinic visits, inpatient rounding, hospital consults and on-call rotation. Collaborate with cardiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to ensure continuity of care. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging studies. Prescribe and manage medications for cardiac and related conditions. Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with documentation and billing standards. Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health maintenance. Assist physicians with procedures, minor surgeries, and other interventions as needed. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Requirements Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current state license and DEA registration, or eligibility to obtain. Preferred experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or acute care; new graduates may be considered depending on practice setting. Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic medical records and understanding of documentation and billing standards.
