Description In collaboration with the Chief of Quality/Chief of Nursing Officer, the Manager provides operational leadership for Emergency Services (Emergency Room, Emergency Preparedness, and EMS) with a primary focus on clinical operations, patient care quality & service excellence, and staff recruitment and retention. Provides leadership in organizing and administering the unit by ensuring that services are developed, provided, supported, monitored and financially successful. Description The APN/NP is a specialty health care provider who provides medical and nursing services to individuals and families. The APN/NP is adept at diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, and emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. Services include, but are not limited to, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing medications, and teaching counseling individuals and families. Develop a treatment plan based on diagnosis and evidence-based practice that is mutually acceptable by the patient and family. Determine the effectiveness of the treatment plan with documentation of patient care outcomes. Reassess and modify the treatment plan to achieve optimal health and medical goals for the patient. Teaches and counsels families in medical conditions, treatment plans, preventive care and anticipated outcomes. Description The Certified Surgical Tech will function under the direct supervision to service patients in the Endoscopy Lab. and provide direct and indirect technical assistance to the physician; performs a variety of duties to assist the team in care of patients during GI lab procedures. Description The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs test procedures the clinical laboratory and conveys the results to the physician or designee in an accurate and timely manner for the purpose of patient diagnosis and treatment. The senior technologist serves key resource to team and customers for problem resolution. Performs as a generalist maintaining competency in all the core laboratory sections including but not limited to Chemistry, Microbiology, Hematology, and Blood bank. This position is a Casual, 10pm - 6:30am Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs all aspects of pre-analytic workflow appropriate for the specific laboratory section to ensure orders are entered correctly, specimens collected are appropriate for the test ordered and are correctly processed/transported. Participates in the receiving and processing of specimens. Performs all aspects of analytical testing for the specific laboratory section, following established written protocols and standard operating procedures. Performs preventative maintenance on instruments/equipment. Verifies reagents and supplies meet acceptability criteria and ensures enough reagents and supplies are available. Performs and records all necessary quality control, evaluates QC results and takes necessary corrective actions. Prioritizes testing based on established priorities and within defined turn-around-times. Responds effectively to changes in the workflow by coordinating a simultaneous series of tests when needed or adjusting work to incorporate STAT tests or fluctuations in work volume. Reviews result for completeness, correctness, and consistency within defined test system. Recognizes unusual test results/interpretations and completes indicated reflex testing or other follow-up actions.
