Description This is an PRN-AS NEEDED opportunity with variable days of the week. The Operating Room Technician, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, provides direct and indirect technical assistance to the surgeon and performs a variety of duties to assist the surgical team in care of surgical patients during the immediate pre-operative, and intra-operative phase. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to resolve patient care problems and enhance care delivery. 2. Assists in the preparation for surgical cases assuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available. 3. Performs scrub role as assigned for a variety of surgical procedures. 4. Assists the surgical team in the transport, transfer, and positioning of patients in the operating room. 5. Assists with the maintenance, care, cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and inventory of instruments, as directed. Description The APN/NP is a specialty health care provider who provides medical and nursing services to individuals and families. The APN/NP is adept at diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, and emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention. Services include, but are not limited to, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing medications, and teaching counseling individuals and families. Comprehensive health assessments with a broad scope of medical management for patients with acute and/or chronic health problems characterize the APN/NP’s practice. Ad POSITION AVAILABLE: PM shift weekdays, AM and PM shifts on weekends ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform approved inpatient procedures, if trained and credentialed (including endotracheal intubation and central venous line placement); training will be provided as needed for procedures and support provided by supervising physician. Provide first-line in-house coverage, escalating care to the supervising hospitalist as needed. Independently manage acutely ill patients using ACLS protocols and evidence-based care pathways, with supervising physician guidance. Lead and manage Code Blue and Rapid Response events in collaboration with, and with immediate access to, supervising physician for guidance and support Demonstrates clinical expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems. Develops medical treatment plans based on scientific evidence-based practice and evaluates outcomes. Mentors staff/students in aspects of advanced nursing practice and patient care Conducts comprehensive appraisals of patient health status by taking health histories and performing physical examinations. Initiate and participate in admission histories and physicals, medical consultations in related subspecialty, and discharge planning. Order diagnostic tests and procedures. Establish a diagnosis based on the history, physical examination and diagnostic test results. Formulates differential diagnosis. Evaluate results of diagnostic testing of laboratory tests, EKG’s imaging studies, and medical procedures. Make appropriate consultations and referrals. Develop a treatment plan based on diagnosis and evidence-based practice that is mutually acceptable by the patient and family. Determine the effectiveness of the treatment plan with documentation of patient care outcomes. Reassess and modify the treatment plan to achieve optimal health and medical goals for the patient. Teaches and counsels families in medical conditions, treatment plans, preventive care and anticipated outcomes. Documents in the medical record with SOAP charting all care provided or procedures performed by the APN/NP. Include differential diagnosis in the documentation. Description The Certified Surgical Tech will function under the direct supervision to service patients in the Endoscopy Lab. and provide direct and indirect technical assistance to the physician; performs a variety of duties to assist the team in care of patients during GI lab procedures. Opportunity is for Part-time, 8 hour day shift with on-call and weekends Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assists in the preparation for GI cases assuring that supplies, equipment, and instruments are available. 3. Assists the team in the transport, transfer, and positioning of patients in the procedure rooms. 4. Assists with the maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and work environment. 5. Assists with the collection of specimens per policy 6. Inspects scopes for damage and proper function. 7.
