STNA RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES: Timely and accurately document all resident related activities in accordance with facility policy. Ensure timely notification of resident related information, including changes in resident condition (example: weight loss, skin condition changes), to a licensed nurse for further direction. Successfully assist all responsible residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s), including but not limited to feeding, bathing, dressing, transferring, ambulation, loco motion, personal hygiene, toileting. Obtain labs/vitals as directed by licensed nurse. Observe infection control and safety procedures. Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings, educational meetings/in-services and all other meetings related to employment. Assist with and participate in all resident activities to facilitate a home like environment for the residents within assigned facility. Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations. Respectfully engage and welcome all visitors, guests and family members within the facility. Ensure a safe and sanitary living environment for residents. Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines. Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times. Adhere to all facility policies & procedures. Perform other related duties as directed by Director of Nursing and/or person of authority. STNA QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ability to obtain and maintain State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Certification - OH required. High School Diploma/GED required.
