The role provides hands-on clinical experience, mentorship, and professional development opportunities within CPUP's healthcare settings. Under the supervision of registered nurses and other licensed professionals, the Nurse Extern supports patient care activities and contributes to creating a safe and effective environment for patients. The Nurse Extern will follow their preceptor's work schedule and assist in providing nursing care to that nurse's patients. Additionally, the nurse extern will attend 4 mandatory didactic educational sessions during their rotation.
